Lazareth was a very wealthy man and he gave Jesus' family his own tomb to bury Christ. I would imagine that he provided the burial cloth and that it was the finest linen of that age. National Geo is based on faith in science, not faith in God. In my opinion, it is only National Geographic's theory or opinion. Other aspects of the shroud must be considered on its own merit, not compared to some unrelated grave site. As history has shown in the past…science is not always right…just read about Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein. Theories are not fact so it takes faith to believe them as truth.
